Lada Korol has been a professional graphic designer since 2000. She got her Associates of Applied Arts in Graphic Design at Lane Community College, studying with Thomas Rubick. She then completed her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, majoring in Graphic Design at Oregon State University, studying with Prof. Hardesty. Her professionalism and collaborative style allows her to lead projects, take on opportunities solo, contribute to teams of designers and work with various vendors.
After working for a decade at one of Eugene’s most prestigious local design agencies, Funk/Levis & Associates, where she learned to juggle deadlines and work for various industries, life took a turn and she became an at-home caregiver for her grandma Olga. Between her caregiving tasks she decided to continue her career as a freelance designer for another decade. Her granny passed at a “young age” of 98 shortly before the pandemic. After some soul searching, Lada turned her passion for helping businesses through design work into a successful freelance career.
She offers complete design and branding services, focusing on her expertise: Print Design. She works with a wide partner network for those needing web and specialty services. She has a deep knowledge of the Senior Care Industry and is the Art Director for The Lane Senior Guide, a Directory of Programs and Services for the 50+ Community in Lane County. She dove into this project in 2007 and has been helping to grow it into the popular resource it is today. The website features an extensive custom built database, visited by 27,200 verified individuals per month, and a printed, annual 114 page directory, which is available throughout Lane County, with 23,000 copies distributed. It is printed by Journal Graphics in Portland. The project features advertising by their amazing sponsors, for many of whom Lada designs the ads. The digital backend was built by a local company, VFOregon. Lada works closely with them on projects that require full stack development, hosting and database builds.
Another wonderful project she picked up in 2025 is a bi-monthly regional magazine Business Life, in the LA area. She works closely with the Publisher on creative, design, production and press prep. It’s put together on a very short timeline, 7-10 days.
Lada is also the primary designer and Event Manager for the annual Oregon State Hanmadang, Martial Art Expo and Tournament. This nonprofit has been putting on events since 2018. As a founder, her professional skillset has expanded to Project Management and Fundraising to Volunteer Coordination, Financial Oversight and Donor Relations.
She loves learning about AI, drawing, helping her mom with gardening and business networking. She’s quite a social butterfly and you’ll see her at events around town and helping her friends’ nonprofit projects. She also works on a side business, Safe Air Now LLC, which spawned from her passion for health and wellness and senior care.
